We all have bad habits

We all have bad habits

When asked the millionaire Rockefeller how he collected all the money that he have and A great success in his life he said: "I did't do the bad habits"..

We all have bad habits, that we need to break. Some of us drink, some of us smoke, and some of us may do other things that we need to stop. Many people would like to quit and kick their problems and habits to the curb. But sadly many of us simply don't know how and cannot afford a personal life coach. The good news is you don't need a personal life coach to take care of the monkey on your back.
You can kick whatever problems you have yourself; all it takes is some determination and focus. Most people when confronted with trying to get rid of a bad habit say they can't do it alone, that they are unable to, and that they cannot live without the problem.

The simple fact of the matter is that they can live without it and they are strong enough to stop. Let's take cigarettes for example, many people smoke them and you don't need a government official to tell you that they are bad for you.

People make the choice to smoke, but there's a difference between smoking every once in a while and becoming addicted to it. You may have a variety of reasons for wanting to stop smoking. You may have a new baby on the way, want to get healthier, or just stop and put the money towards something else. What's important is that
yuo can do it without medications, treatments, or substitutes.

You can do this by simply having unyielding determination and faith in yourself. Faith is something that seems to be lacking in many people and I'm not talking about the religious kind. Many people think that faith and religion are the same thing but that is not the case. Having absolute faith in yourself that you can do anything and get rid of any habit is essential to solving the problem.

The unyielding determination part comes into effect when the withdraw symptoms occur. You may get the urge to smoke, resume overeating, or whatever else it is that you are trying to get rid of. When that happens you need to remind yourself why you are doing this and what the rewards are. It's not an easy thing to do but you can do it.

Some people may choose to do a step down program rather than quitting outright altogether. When doing something like that it's best to have a timetable to follow and make sure you tell a close friend or relative. Doing this will help you immensely as they will ask you at the appointed dates if you are still on track.

If you can keep it up for a couple months then your habit will be broken. Some people want a quicker solution than this but you cannot rush breaking yourself of a learned and comfortable behavior. Failure to get rid of the issue completely may make it come back in the future.

When breaking a bad habit? remember to never give in to the urge to resume it. No matter how much it may hurt physically or psychologically it's important to continue to see it through. There will be some tough days, but the pain will purify you and you'll come out stronger for it.

And affirmations are great and powerful techniques in which, if used effectively, could bring out and address directly to your unconscious being.

By uttering simple positive statements of the way you wish to live your life, then reiterating them out loud daily, you teach your unconscious thoughts in order to guide you to a better path to be reflected by your whole senses.

And lastly, it is very important that you must try to obstruct any negativity and concentrate 100% of your language and attention to the affirmations that you are saying out loud.

Where are Your Habits Leading You?

You are an accumulation of your habits. From how you get out of bed, how you shower, how you dress, how you walk, sit, and talk, how you respond to the world, how you act in front of others, and how you think; you're living out your habits.
Habits are necessary. They free up your mind so you can concentrate on how to survive day to day. You don't have to think about how to drive your car so you can be on the lookout for danger while you are driving. You don't have to think about how to walk so you can concentrate on where you're going.
Unfortunately, habits can also keep you locked in self-destructive patterns, which will limit your success. To become successful, you will need to drop bad habits and develop new ones that are in line with the life you want to live.
People don't suddenly appear in the life they want to live... their habits determine their outcome!
What are the habits you have that are keeping you from achieving your goals?
Really be honest with yourself here... Are you always running late? Do you return phone calls within 24 hours? Do you get enough sleep? Do you follow through on your promises? Do you plan out your day?
Imagine what your life would be like if all your habits were their productive counterparts!
What would your life be like if you ate healthy meals, exercised and got enough sleep?
What if you saved your money, stopped using credit cards and paid cash for everything?
What if you stopped procrastinating, overcame your fears, and began networking with people in your field?
Would your life be different? I bet it would!
So, my suggested action step for you is to write down some productive habits you could adopt and visualize in your life, step two is to 'act as if' you were living these new habits right now!
I'd like to help you get moving toward creating more successful habits, so I'd recommend you develop four of your new success habits each year, one for each quarter.
Once you pick the new habit you're ready to adopt, next you'll want to create a method that will support your new habit.
Here are some ideas... You could write it down on a card that you keep with you and read several times a day. You could make it a part of your daily visualization. You could also enlist the help of an accountability partner who has habits to change, or work with a personal coach who can keep you on track.
It's important to make a 100% commitment to your new habit, so be specific about the steps that you're willing to take in order to drop an old habit and adopt a new one. Don't be vague about how you will change your habits. Spell it out for yourself so you can recognize situations that motivate you to act out your new habit.
Just developing four new habits a year will dramatically shift your life to be more in line with your vision. And the more in line it becomes, the easier the other habits are to replace because your perspective is shifting and you can see more clearly how your old habits aren't serving you anymore.
